Lorenza Favrot, PhD

Lorenza Favrot is the Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics Assistant Director, Outreach and Communication. She works closely with Dr. Simon Tavaré, founding director, and Stephanie Velasquez, Chief of Staff, to spearhead the communication and outreach endeavor of IICD. She brings her experience managing and coordinating a wide range of outreach and educational programs to the Institute.

Prior to joining the Institute, she served for two and half years as the program administrator and outreach co-director at the New York University Materials Research Science and Engineering Center, a National Science Foundation-funded interdisciplinary research center. Lorenza received her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Toledo in 2014. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of John Blanchard at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
