Emmanuel Cordina joined Dr. Sanja Vickovic’s lab in the Spring of 2023 as an MS student and continued working as a Computational Biologist at the New York Genome Center under her supervision after completing his MS in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University and his MS in Engineering at Telecom Paris. With a keen interest in machine learning, statistical methods, and image processing, Emmanuel is focused on developing models to improve spatial transcriptomics platforms, especially in situ sequencing.
