Research Interest

Tarek Zikry is a postdoctoral research scientist with Genevera Allen in the Department of Statistics, the Zuckerman Institute, and the Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics. His research interests include studying single-cell cancer dynamics and tumor heterogeneity with interpretable manifold learning and validation for unsupervised machine learning. He received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from UNC-Chapel Hill, and will start as an assistant professor at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Data Science and Society in 2025.
