Manager, Finance and Administration
Maria Topel is the Manager of Finance and Administration at the Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics, where she holds responsibility for overseeing all financial matters, working closely with the Chief of Staff, Stephanie Velasquez and members of the IICD Administrative Team. Before joining IICD, she served as the Assistant Director for Budget & Operations at Columbia Business School and as the Program Manager for the Higher and Postsecondary Education program at Teachers College. Fluent in both Tagalog and English, she spent a decade in rural New Hampshire before returning to her hometown of NYC. Maria enjoys reading and taking rock-climbing trips to the Gunks in New Paltz, NY, with her family. She holds an interdisciplinary MA in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies from Dartmouth.
