Research Interest

Abigail Hickok is an NSF postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mathematics. She is mentored by Professor Andrew Blumberg. Prior to joining Columbia, she completed a PhD in applied mathematics at UCLA in 2023 and she received an undergraduate degree in mathematics at Princeton in 2018. In her research, she primarily studies topological and geometric data analysis. She is particularly interested in applying topology and geometry to the study of single-cell genomic data. She is also interested in network science, with special focuses on the topics of network geometry and dynamics on networks.

Currently at Yale University for 2024-2025.
