Infer the Role of the Non-Coding Genome and Epigenome in the Regulation of Gene Expression within Extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) in Specific Cancer Types

January 25, 2023

The New York Genome Center (NYGC) announced the launch of the MacMillan Center for the Study of the Non-Coding Cancer Genome, a major new initiative in cancer research to study the role and function of the non-coding genome and epigenome in the evolution, progression, and treatment of multiple cancer types. IICD members Karol Nowicki-Osuch and Simon Tavaré lead a subproject focusing on the application of scDNA-seq and scRNA-seq in the discovery of extrachromosomal DNA and their role in the progression of esophageal cancer.
