Dr. Alba Corman is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Vicković lab at the New York Genome Center. Her research focuses on developing next-generation controllable CRISPR screening technologies that integrate single-cell multiomic and high-content imaging readouts to systematically identify therapeutic targets for neurodegenerative diseases. Supported by the Swedish Brain Foundation (Hjärnfonden), her current work applies these approaches to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) to uncover genetic mechanisms that restore motor neuron health and accelerate therapeutic discovery. More broadly, she is interested in developing scalable functional genomics technologies that enable the systematic dissection of complex cellular phenotypes across human diseases, including neurodegeneration and cancer.
