The Institute invites all IICD members, including faculty, researchers, students, interns, and staff from core and associate laboratories, to participate in the second annual IICD Art & Science Competition.
This year's competition will focus on creating a new homepage banner for the Institute website. Submitted artwork should visually communicate the Institute's mission and scientific vision while reflecting the breadth and impact of research conducted across IICD. We encourage creative interpretations that capture the intersection of art and science and highlight themes relevant to cancer research, systems biology, data science, innovation, collaboration, and discovery.
Because the selected artwork will serve as a prominent visual representation of the Institute, entries should be both scientifically inspired and suitable for a professional, public-facing website.
The winning artwork will be displayed as the official banner on the IICD website homepage.
Please note that the competition will open in September 2026.

All eligible submissions will be featured in an online gallery. A panel of judges will review submissions and select a shortlist of finalists based on artistic merit, originality, scientific relevance, and suitability for use as the Institute's website banner. The winning entry will then be chosen through an online vote open to all IICD members, and the winner will receive a $100 gift card. The runner-up will receive a $50 gift card as well.
Submission Requirements:
