The Herbert and Florence Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics organizes intensive workshops for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Check out our calendar for upcoming workshops.
Check out the recap of our inaugural intensive workshop.

The Institute offers a 5-day intensive workshop (June 23rd-27th, 2025, Morningside Heights campus) for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to learn more about methods in probabilistic data integration and optimal transport. Participants will learn about multi-modal and multi-donor single-cell data integration, probabilistic modeling, emerging technologies in spatial integration, and the theory and implementation of optimal transport. A one-day virtual bootcamp will be held prior to the workshop to review key prerequisites.

The Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics offered a five-day in-person intensive workshop (July 8th-12th, 2024, Columbia University Morningside Heights Campus) for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to learn about data integration and optimal transport methods (at no cost for participants). Participants learned about multi-modal single-cell genomic data integration, probabilistic modeling, emerging technologies in spatial integration, and the theory and implementation of optimal transport.
