Sanja Vicković, PhD

Research Interest

Dr. Vicković is currently the Director of Technology Innovation and a Core Faculty at the New York Genome Center and Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering (in the Herbert and Florence Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics) at Columbia University as well as a Wallenberg Academy Fellow of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Royal Academy of Engineering at Uppsala University. Dr. Vicković received her PhD in Genetics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Following her graduate work, Dr. Vicković joined the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard as a Wallenberg Fellow. Dr. Vicković pioneered novel spatially resolved transcriptomics and genomics methods that enable massively parallel in situ profiling of intact tissue samples. She has vast experience in spatial and single cell genomics, data analysis and software implementations with focus on developing accessible genomic methods for use in clinics.
