Hamza Golubovic is currently a second year PhD student in the Department of Statistics, working with Professor Genevera Allen. Prior to Columbia, Hamza completed BSc and MSc in applied mathematics at the University of Washington. Hamza's research has focused on formulating scientific questions through a mathematical and statistical framework. Recently, Hamza has been developing interpretable machine learning methods related to feature importance and signal processing in high dimensional settings.
