Irene Chang is a PhD student in the Department of Statistics, advised by Professor Genevera Allen. Her current research explores how to distill complex manifold learning methods into simpler, efficient neural networks, with the goal of improving interpretability and faithfulness of downstream tasks on high-dimensional data.
