Ignacio Vazquez-Garcia, a Research Associate in Computational Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics (co-mentored by Sohrab Shah and Simon Tavaré), has been chosen for the prestigious AACR NextGen Stars Program. This accolade recognizes his pioneering research on cellular dynamics in cancer. His work has helped identify the role of genomic instability in cancer evolution and its impact on the tumor microenvironment.
