Soobeom Lee is a Research Scientist in the Vickovic Laboratory at the New York Genome Center. He received his PhD from New York University under the mentorship of Dr. Ioannis Aifantis and Dr. Richard Bonneau, where his work focused on the genetic and non-genetic mechanisms of cancer evolution. His research centers on developing genomic technologies that resolve clonal evolution and genotype-to-phenotype relationships directly from patient specimens. He developed a single-cell multimodal method for profiling genotype-specific chromatin accessibility and three-dimensional genome structure, and he is now building spatial genomic technologies for spatially resolved whole-genome and whole-exome profiling to study metastatic evolution in human colorectal cancer.
