Stephanie Velasquez, MPA

Stephanie Velasquez joined the Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics, as Chief of Staff, in February 2023. Bringing 18 years of experience in organizational development, human resources, executive management, and departmental operations. She works alongside the founding director Dr. Simon Tavaré, on all institute-related matters. Prior to joining IICD, Stephanie was an Administrator at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine within the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, working alongside Dr. William R. Jacobs Jr. Most of her career was spent at the college of medicine having also worked within the Human Resources and Cell Biology Departments. She is a first-generation college graduate; after obtaining her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Management, she pursued a graduate degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on Non-Profit Management, having graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Haven in Connecticut, where she currently resides.
