Research Interest

Yanjie Chen is a research assistant in the Dinh Lab. He received his BSc in Mathematics with First Class Honours from the University of Liverpool in 2024. He subsequently completed advanced training in statistics through the M.A. in Statistics program at Columbia University, where he developed a strong background in statistical modeling and machine learning through extensive project-based work. He has been broadly involved in collaborative research across multiple laboratories at Columbia University. His research interests focus on the application of machine learning to cancer genomics, including probabilistic modeling of tumor evolution, subclonal inference from bulk sequencing data, generative models for genomic data, and scalable algorithms for analyzing large-scale multi-omic datasets.
