IICD faculty members Genevera Allen and David Blei have been chosen to deliver an Institute of Mathematical Statistics Medallion Lecture—a high honor in the field. Allen and Blei are among five Columbia faculty recognized, including four from the Department of Statistics and one from the Mailman School of Public Health. The Medallion Award and Lecture are prestigious recognitions, inviting just eight recipients annually to deliver a lecture based on their significant research contributions. The honored Columbia faculty will deliver their lectures in the summer of 2026.
