Research Interest

Ren-Yi Wang is a postdoctoral researcher at the Irving Institute for Cancer Dynamics (IICD), working under the supervision of Simon Tavaré. He earned his PhD in Statistics from Rice University, where he worked under the supervision of Dr. Marek Kimmel.

Ren-Yi’s background is in stochastic modeling, with expertise in branching processes, large-scale approximations (scaling limit), and asymptotic analysis. His research focuses on developing and analyzing mathematical models of cancer dynamics, hematopoiesis, and neurogenesis, utilizing tools from stochastic processes and differential equations to investigate their long-term and asymptotic behaviors.
