 IICD Symposium: Next-Generation Cancer Research — AI and Computation 

The IICD will host a half-day symposium on artificial intelligence and cancer research on Monday, March 16, 2026. The symposium will highlight recent advances in the application of AI and similar technologies to cancer research.

The program will feature four short presentations from leading researchers in the field, followed by a keynote address by Professor Dana Pe’er, Chair of the Computational and Systems Biology Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The event will conclude with a networking reception.

Congratulations to Noah Bergman on receiving an IICD Travel Award to attend the ALT 2026 (Algorithmic Learning Theory) conference in Toronto for a presentation of “Compressibility Barriers to Neighborhood-Preserving Data Visualizations,” a paper he co-authored.

IICD Associate Faculty member, Chin Hur, MD, MPH received a subaward amounting to $674, 758 over five years from the National Cancer Institute for "Assessing feasibility of gastric cancer screening in the US," a research project in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic. Read more
