Congratulations to Dr. Khanh Dinh, Associate Research Scientist in the IICD and in the Department of Statistics, who was awarded an R01 grant from the National Institutes for Health (NIH) for his project titled “Deciphering cancer origin from DNA evolution.”
In this newly funded project, Dr. Dinh will develop a novel approach for reconstructing tumor evolution from DNA. This work will better predict patient outcomes and support more personalized treatment decisions for patients.
The Dinh Lab focuses on developing mathematical models and bioinformatic software to study the formation and selection of genomic changes during cancer development.
